AKA BABY BLUE

Original Words came to me in London as I sat on the loo. I was having the doors in our Home stripped as I was renovating it for my Mother. There was a dark burgundy blanket hung for privacy in the doorway, it was nighttime and the lights were on in the hallway. Little pinpricks of light were shining through the blanket… and then came the word

A Pinprick of Light in the night
The light of reason in my mind
Slowly shining through this darkness
In my Mind……

The rest of the lyrics followed as I went to capture the words and write it down
Afraid of the Dark is also know as ‘Baby Blue’

It took many years before i was able to make the music.
I also performed it live in my Show at the ‘Inspire Gallery……..

My Live Show 'Don’t Be Used’ is a plea for us all to stop and think about how we affect each other by our daily lives. The dark side over spills all our efforts to ‘get on’ or ‘just get through’.

The Video Version I edited from Will Duffy’s Filming of ‘Don’t be Used’ is a condensed version of the show and is called ‘Human Rights For Sale’. This is Quintessentially me a Combination of my Music, Art and Poetry. Colm Mullen, my Husband, Plays the Character of the sharp cruelty in his part as the seller of Human Rights. You can hear him at the end of this track.
